Hello everyone! Fall term is steadily underway, and I can’t believe it’s already the end of October! There’s only three-ish months till Write to Publish 2016! We have some new Oolies on our team this year: Emily Einolander, Elizabeth Nunes, Katrina Cunningham, Whitney Edmunds, and Vi La Bianca. They’re all brand new, but they’re all happy to be here and hard at work making sure this conference will be a great event. Chelsea and I are thrilled with our new team.

We’ve been busy this term and have already secured a few more items. Breakfast, for example, is pretty much set. We nailed down Voodoo Doughnut and Henry Higgins Boiled Bagels over the summer. Whitney brought Buffalo Gap Saloon & Eatery and Riccardo’s Ristorante into the fold this fall. So we officially have doughnuts, bagels, fresh fruit, and coffee. We’re hoping to find someone to donate tea and possibly some juice, but we feel pretty great with what we have so far. Next up, the lunch coupons. We’re hoping to talk to some PSU Portland Farmers Market food vendors to see if they’d like to offer some discounts to our lovely attendees.

We also have our program complete! It was a lot of work over the summer to get everything nailed down, but we’re glad we had that time to do it. So overall, things are coming together quite nicely. We’re going to continue moving forward and solidify all the awesome facets of our event. Check back next month for another Write to Publish update!
